A lot going on - Post Thanksgiving / by Ben Matzke

Hey guys,

This has sorta become a whenever-I-get-around-to-it-thing. I will try to keep it updated when I upload new galleries at the very least, but there's so much that's been going on I haven't been able to keep up (nor keep my head straight). As a quick summary, I stopped by both Trancegiving and Homegrown Vol. 1 before heading out to California for Thanksgiving. When I returned I had surgery done on my left knee to fix my torn ACL and while unable to walk around, I went through and posted both sets of photos and did some major revamps to my site.

Trancegiving and Homegrown Vol.1

Knowing that I would be out of town (and then incapacitated) for a few weeks, I tried to take as many pictures to build my backlog to give me something to do in my soon-to-come huge amounts of free time. Both of them were awesome and a bunch of fun. I sadly wasn't able to stick around for more of Homegrown because of my flight the next morning, but I'm sure I would have enjoyed it if I had.

Knee Surgery

...sucks... It's just no fun. I've had to do it before back in high school (on my opposite knee), but that doesn't make it any easier. There were several shows that happened while I was sitting on a couch just wishing I could be there instead. Sadly I think I'll only be able to start going to stuff when I get back from Christmas and New Years in California with the parents. At this point I no long need to wear my brace at home, and I finally get to shower after a week  of keeping dry (to avoid possible infection).

Major Site Updates

I've been trying to find an easy way to sell my pictures for a long time and I finally found something that I think will be pretty awesome. Namely, I've been wanting to make prints of my photos for people to buy, but the built-in methods don't work well for that kinda thing. Fortunately, Fotomoto exists to help me out. With this service, you can choose any picture that's available on my site for purchase in many different forms. For this, I've added a new Prints page where you can search through the galleries for any that you might want to get in a physical form. Unfortunately Fotomoto only works with a certain template at the moment, so I've had to change that again, but it's not the worst choice out there.

I can't wait to get back out there and see you all, and I should be able to do that next year!
